Job Purpose:

The training and education of students; student consultations; the establishment of a knowledge base of the discipline through academic research & development.

Key Performance Area:

We are looking for lecturers in the following:

Programme: Diploma in Public Relations

Module: Media Law and Ethics

Key Performance Area:

  • Lecturing 
  • Briefing Students for assignements and projects
  • Marking assessments and providing feedback
  • Presenting class marks and feedback to the head of programme
  • Actively engaging with current trends in teaching and learning strategies within Rosebank college environment



  • Honours in Law (LLB) with specialisation in Media Law or an Honours in any Media and/or Communication qualifications in which some of the modules covered focused on Media Law and ethical considerations within a variety of media context.


  • Degree qualification in a related Media or Communication discipline in which Media Law has been covered as a core subject.

Work Experience:

Work Experience

  • Lecturing experience in media law and ethics/ media and communication/media law/ ethics and communication.
  • A combination of journalism and/or advertising and/or PR industry experience with media law practitioner experience within the related field.
  • Related experience within the communications sector that required engagement with Media Law.
