Job Purpose:

To ensure that all academic operations comply with all relevant IIE Policies, processes and procedures as per the Academic Planner and operational processes and systems.

Key Performance Area:

Timetabling & Resource Planning:

  • Responsible for the final synchronised Campus Timetable based on the input from all the HODs;
  • Responsible for the final Test & Exam Timetables based on the input from all the HODs and working closely with National Office;
  • To protect the integrity of the Campus Timetable by ensuring that all role-players operate using the approved Timetable;
  • Responsible to capture the Campus Timetable in SAM/CAMS;

Assessments:

  • Liaise with NAT on all assessment queries;
  • Liaise with NAT on all assessment packages;
  • Ensure compliancy with IIE Assessment Policies and National Processes;
  • Planning of Test/Exam venues;
  • Training of Invigilators;
  • Managing the Marking & Moderation Process;
  • Oversee Marks Capturing & Verify Marks;
  • Oversight & Planning of CASS Release Process;
  • IIE/National Telecons and Reporting;
  • Consult & Ensure Foreign Student Compliance;
  • Sign-off certification & re-issue requests and academic reports;
  • Duplication & Security of Assessments;
  • Chairperson of Assessments Committee;

Bursary Students:

  • Manage Bursary application and allocation process;
  • Manage Bursary Students€™ activities as per planner;
  • Monitor and track the academic performance of the Bursary Students and implement interventions as required;
  • Report on all Bursary Students€™ activities;

Student Council:

  • Manage Student Council activities as per planner;
  • Report on all Student Council activities;
  • Develop and implement a Student Leadership Development Plan;
  • Implement a Mentorship programme for the Student Council;

Graduation:

  • Responsible for the logistical arrangements related to the hosting of the Graduation Ceremony:
  • Signed-off list of Graduates;
  • Securing the venue;
  • Layout and process flow at the venue;
  • Programme;
  • Guest Speaker
  • Finalisation of Attendees
  • Décor and Flowers;
  • Gowns and Photographer
  • Graduation wrap-up Report

Education:

  • A Minimum of a Bachelors/ Honours/ Master€™s Degree

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years€™ experience in the teaching and learning field, specifically lecturing in the tertiary environment.
