Job Purpose:

To provide operational support to the Head of School: Education at Rosebank College, a brand of the Independent Institute of Education and to develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions in order to cater for student development and experience.

Key Performance Area:

Facilitate optimal resource allocation across campuses

  • Shortlisting of candidates for academic staff positions (including Independent Contractors)
  • Assist in finding solutions to possible staffing issues
  • Maintain a  lecturer pool for delivery of education modules and facilitate retention strategies for them.

Monitor delivery of education modules acoss campuses and consult/troubleshoot where necessary

  • Collaborate with other Academic Operations portfolios as well as student support in ensuring effective and consistent delivery of educational modules as part of the wider offering at Rosebank College

Administer the placement process for student teaching practicals across the campuses

  • Administer all stages of the placement process for teaching practicals across all campuses, including visits to schools

Collate reports on the  operational and academic status of the Education qualifications on offer across Rosebank College

  • Collate data on the pass and throughput rates of the educational programmes on offer

Interact with relevant stakeholders internally, at the IIE and externally

  • Liaise with relevant IIE representatives in terms of the operational aspects of the programme
  • Represent the brand at internal and external academic governance meetings

 

Education:

Minimum B.Ed (Only a BEd qualification will be considered)

Work Experience:

  • 3 years Operational Head/ Deputy Principal (school €“ at foundation and intermediate level
  • 5 years Experience as an educator
  • Must be able to speak at least 2 indigenous South African languages
  • Willing to travel to rural areas and townships

Physical Job Requirements:

Drivers licence and own car
